Beginners Guitar: What Would be the Best Guitar to Learn

Now that you have decided you are interested in learning beginners guitar you will need to find a guitar to practice on.  A beginners guitar can be any guitar to be honest and since there is such a plethora of them in the world finding one should not be difficult.  First thing you want to realize is if you want to play electric or acoustic.  While an acoustic is actually the better choice of the two in which to learn everyone has their own idea and own preference as to what kind of guitarist they want to be.

You need to be aware that if you are just starting to learn how to play guitar you do not need a $3,000 Fender Stratocaster.  You are not going to be a phenomenal guitarist just because you are holding a phenomenal guitar.  A beginners guitar should be exactly that because there are many people who want to learn guitar but never see it through to the end.

Learning guitar is going to be frustrating and it will not be easy.  This is something that many people are often confused about and even though it is one the easiest instruments to learn to play the guitar does not play itself, you will have to practice on a regular basis to acquire the skill to play.  There are many options open to you when looking for a beginners guitar and the best decision would to be a buy a cheap guitar, whether acoustic or electric, to get a feel and see if playing guitar is going to be for you.

A good amount of people find out that learning guitar is not what they thought it would be and if you went out and spent $1,000 on a guitar to sit on a guitar stand in your basement or bedroom than you are going to be disappointed to say the least.  This is something many people fall susceptible to.  The lure of a nice guitar is mesmerizing but if you can’t maximize the true intention of a guitar that nice you are just wasting time and money.

Finding a knock off Fender or Martin is going to be your best bet.  Many of the bigger guitar companies have imitation models that still sound great and are a lot cheaper.  A beginners guitar should more times than not be right around $100 if not a little less.  This is an ideal amount of money to spend on a beginners guitar because you do not need to get carried away and get a fancy guitar just to explore the hobby of playing guitar.

Even going to a music shop and searching for an older, used guitar is a good idea.  There are always tons of cheap guitars that have a great sound that might be a little dinged up or scratched but while you are learning these things should not matter.  While we all want to sit and jam on a Taylor acoustic or Les Paul electric you do not need to if you are still unsure how to play or even if playing guitar is for you.  Once you start to learn and you see that this is something you would like to stride towards than by all means upgrade from your beginners guitar and get a nice guitar to play and practice.
